The map digital broadcast with coding "Crypton" in Ukraine

Example of DVB organization with conditional access on the basis of "Crypton" and "ROKS" equipment.

    End-to-end solution of the address delivery to the subscribers of TV-programs' packets was realized in MITRIS system (in digital format). "Company "Crypton" designed the set of equipment together with "ROKS" .
    The main tasks that were being solved during the broadcast network arrangement:

• frequency band economy with the superb quality of transferable information;
  
• higher noise immunity;
  
• easy processing, delivery and storage of information;
  
• effective integration to any kind of digital services.
  

Organization of regional DVB network on the basis of “Crypton” equipment by example of Lviv region

Reasons of application:

Coverage area of regional transmitting center – 50-60 km for 2-3 national channels and 15-20 km for other TV-channels. Signal distribution interval is significantly decreased in hilly areas. Microwave transmission lines don’t solve the problem. According to statistics, 60-70% of Ukrainian citizens can receive up to 3-4 TV-channels and the rest of citizens 1-2 TV-channels only. There is no any wide application for satellite broadcasting reception (high cost of receiving equipment, channels encoding, including Ukrainian channels; lack of regional channels in signal).

    The example of application "CryptOn" system in LMDS networks is ТРС "Trophy" (manufacturer - a company "TROPHY").
    In contrast to the cable TV networks, and also to the networks with application of MMDS, in LMDS networks a standard satellite analog tuner, equipped with the connector "DECODER" for connection of the decoder, is used to receive standard radio signal.
    The renewal of the coded television signals is fulfilled by decoders model DV-01. In this model sync pulses renewal is carried out in modified video signal of the image (In contrast to the decoders model DRA, where sync pulses renewal is implemented in a modified radio signal).

    When using MMDS for broadcasting the signal of the main station to the cable subnets there is a problem of unauthorized viewing of television channels, because they can be received from the air, bypassing the cable network.
    MMDS channels protection by the means of coding them at the transmitting station is connected with their decoding either by the subscriber decoder, which is set at the input of the television receiver or by the group decoder, which is set between the output of the receiving converter MMDS and cable subnet input.
    In the first case usage of the "CryptOn" system in MMDS is carried out similarly as in cable networks of collective television reception.
