Example of DVB organization with conditional access

Example of DVB organization with conditional access on the basis of "Crypton" and "ROKS" equipment.

    End-to-end solution of the address delivery to the subscribers of TV-programs' packets was realized in MITRIS system (in digital format). "Company "Crypton" designed the set of equipment together with "ROKS" .
    The main tasks that were being solved during the broadcast network arrangement:
  • frequency band economy with the superb quality of transferable information;
  • higher noise immunity;
  • easy processing, delivery and storage of information;
  • effective integration to any kind of digital services.

    Example of basic operator's head-end:

Example of basic operator's head-end

    Set of equipment:
  • head-end,
  • radio relay stations (RRS),
  • subscribers stations.
    The basic version of head-end consists of circular pattern which radiates multi-channel broadcast signal; 2 antennas in monoblocks with the transmitters forming the transmitting RRS. Signals, with the required levels and multifunctional splitter's feeding voltages arrive at the broadcast transmitter and RRS transmitter. Multifunctional voltage splitter divides in required ratio the multichannel grouped signal power. This signal is generated by eight-channel summator block by means of signals summation with different frequencies generated by DTV servers Crypton COD881MS (grid spacing is 42 MHz, gird change is possible from 28 up to 42 MHz).
    The application of antenna system made of few sector antennas with their own transmitter increases the coverage area of up to 40 km.
    The quantity of the transmitted programs within this configuration is 64.

    Subscriber equipment:
Subscriber equipment

  • antenna and converter ;
  • DVB-S(C) receiver;
  • TV set and monitor;
  • by aid of address access card the operator assigns the services that are available for a specific subscriber.
