Description
A program "Win_Loader", which is distributed together with the Crypton equipment, controls the work of coder and decoders. The program was tested based on the next operating systems: Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2000.
Coders are installed into a loop break between videosignal source and a modulator of the radiosignal of TV image. They are connected to the communication COM computer port. Control over several coders is fulfilled through their direct coupling.
Every next coder is connected to the previous one. The coders are connected in the following way. To the input of the first coder a feed cable is linked up.
To the output of the first coder a transfer cable is connected, the second connector of the cable is linked to the input of the next coder up. So, on every next coder the output of the previous one is connected with the input of the next one.
Studio modulator is connected to one of the two equivalent video outputs.
For synchronous work of several coders the following procedures of synchronization are used in the system:
- autonomous work;
- videosignal synchronization;
- channel synchronization;
- full synchronization.
When working isolated coders are not synchronized, even if input signals are synchronous. In such a case the quartz generator of the coder defines an output videosignal frequency. When working isolated the light diode "Mode" shines yellow.
To get videosignal synchronization one of the coders is appointed as Master (in such state the light diode shines red), the rest - slave (light diode "Mode" shines green). All coders, in such a case, use quartz generator of the Master or they are fully synchronized by the test videosignal when connecting to the video synchronizing connector, output line and field sync pulses at the output of all coders appear at the same time. To compensate time delay in modulators, different videosignal delays with discreteness 37 nsec may be introduced. In the program this is the window "phase shift in synchronous mode". 37 nsec correspond to one unit. Zero phase shift -127 units.
In a channel synchronization mode кодеры работают также, как и в режиме синхронизации видеосигнала, а для декодеров дополнительно синхронизируется часть служебной информации, что позволяет сократить время включения декодера при переключении канала и поддерживать разные списки абонентов для разных каналов.
In a mode of full synchronization a videosignal and additional information for decoders are synchronized. All decoders at all channels receive the same information, which is transmitted by the master coder. Subscriber lists and some other directions in master coders are ignored. This mode is necessary for work of the group decoders in MMDS systems.
If no one coder is not appointed as " master", than all coders automatically turn to autonomous mode.
Connectors "Synchronization input/output" are designed for the synchronization of several four-channel coders. At the same time patch-cable is connected from the synchronization output of the first coder to the synchronization input of the second coder and so on for every coder. In such a way, coders synchronization system is connected, that allows to appoint "master" every coder.
Availability of a high quality commutator of audio- and video- signals allows to use coder as an advertising commutator. When controlling commutator with the help of the program "Win_Loader" the period of switching signal depends on the master computer speed, quality of coders and index number of the coder in a system. For an instant switching of signal sources an outside commutator control input is provided. As an outside control device any device creating TTL-signal on the output can by used.
